Blueberries – Improve performance by 11%
Blueberries have amazing properties to boost your focus, concentration and therefore your performance.
Recent research shows that blueberries out perform bananas and other fruits with the ability to boost your brain power.
How does it work? Simply, blueberries increase the blood flow to the brain and this in turn improves focus, concentration and performance.
A study has been carried out involving 6th formers in exam conditions. Half ate a blueberry smoothie and half ate a banana smoothie. The results showed that those who ate the blueberry smoothies out performed those who ate the banana smoothie by 11%.
This amazing effect from blueberries takes around 4 hours so include some on your breakfast and then some in a snack later in the day.
